Using Dual Reservoir as Single?

Hi all, this might be a silly question, but i can't find any info with a google search. I'm planning on running new brake lines in my '61 LeSabre to hook up a new dual reservoir and down the road do disk brakes on the front. But while i figure out how i'm going to do said brake lines I was curious if i could plug one of the reservoirs and hook it up like a single reservoir in the mean time. I have the old master cylinder but it doesn't fit the new brake booster and old brake booster is broke.

    thanks for any info.

The dual reservoir cylinder would theoretically only move half the fluid from one port as the single master would. so i say no. You'd have no pedal with one fitting open either. If you had it blocked you wouldn't be able to press the pedal either.

Thanks for the info. I figured that would be the case.

Yeah, that's my plan. Was just curious if i could use this until i figure out the brake lines.
