I picked up a pair of Infinity RS6000 floor speakers at a garage sale for $30. All 4 woofers needed the surrounds replaced. After a bit of time at the speaker repair shop I got them home at they just plain kick butt.

So, I'm conflicted. Should participants move over to the old thread and be lambasted for reviving an old thread, or keep going here and be lambasted for starting a new one? I feel like blasting "should I stay or should I go" on the old hi-fi.

Has anyone figured out a good sounding DAC to play mp3's and bluetooth on their old equipment? I've now bought two ebay versions that work, but only sound slightly better than when I play one of my 35-year old cassette tapes.

Looks like a lot of you gents have equipment and knowledge within the era of my system so let me take a shot with a question:

Anyone know of a repair shop that can service/upgrade Counterpoint tubed amps/preamps or speakers (Infinite Slope) with multiple 10/12" woofers and intricate crossover networks?

This is fairly high end equipment that needs some work to bring it back to original functionality. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have had this for 30 to 40 years but never fired it up. Have a few new unused blank tapes too...

I'll try to post some of my equipment later. Its spread out between my bedroom, living room, attic, and garage. I have a 70s Harmon kardon in the garage powering some Bose speakers and several sets of speakers, couple subs, and receivers.

I own a few 8-track recorders and players. Here is my Akai CR-81D with wired remote control accessory.
