    Hey guys,

Today, was a very bad day, I jumped in my GS this morning to go to the trim shop. I was happy my new Ac was blowing cold and it was a beautiful day. Half way there the GS was misfiring a bit and I was wondering what the H was going on? I made it to the next light and engine was off. When I tried to restart, my battery was gone. So I sat 3 hours in 100 degree waiting for a tow/truck and never made to the trim shop.
My new optima battery took a bad beating today, trying to revive it now.

Based on the symptoms? I’m thinking it’s my voltage regulator or alternator or both.

what is a good voltage regulator to get?

    Thanks,

    Z

If the regulator is bad, buy the cheaper solid state (likely chinese agggh) unit and swap your cover over. And/or have your original rebuilt. Unfortunately the quality of new mechanical ones has really become sketchy.

I just got one from Autozone. It was cheap, but it works fine.

Thanks guys, I went with the Tuff Stuff regulator again, solid state and made in the USA. Worked very well in the past.
