Has anyone made or used brackets for a Vortech V1 supercharger on a 455? I have an early V1 and want to use it on a BBB, so any ideas or especially pics of brackets would be great. Really great if you have prints and plans, lol. I hate to invent it all if someone's already done it.
    Thanks

Procharger brackets are SBC brackets that are simply redrilled,...

Do you have pics of your setup? Did you use any of the existing sbc bracket holes? What where the challenges?

They are just redrilled is all my setup was a "Buick" kit from the super charger store,...but was told by Bob I believe his name is that's it's nothing more than an redrilled sbc bracket and even used the crank pulley for the SBC with a simple spacer/adapter,...it's very simple

The only thing I done that wasn't expected was I reworked the idler pulley for much better belt wrap and belt psi

I have a complete BBC set up, pullies, brackets, etc. My plan is to modify those to fit, but I'm hopping some other people have done similar and can help with some ideas. Right now now my plan is to to use a 72 and up power steering bracket with the AIR pump over the top of it. I want to use the AIR pump mounting spot to put the alternator over the PS pump and that would leave the entire right side of the motor open for the supercharger. I can easily modify the BBC crank pulley and then just have to figure out how to hang the blower brackets and line it all up. Seeing how others do it just helps to broaden your ideas.
    Thanks

My Vortec set up for a SBC with an adapter plate made from Steel that bolts to the Buick head and then has holes drilled and tapped for the SBC side. Works great but not the nicest way to do it. I would love to have a set made just for the BBB.

Would you be willing to post some pics? Like I said, more ideas broaden the options.
    Thanks

Looking at plate from front of engine. Was designed to be used w a sbc power steering pump too but i use a manual rack so it has extra holes and meat at the bottom not attached to the engine.

Pic of the SC w the twin plates that attached to the cast piece to the steel adapter and to the BBB Cylinder head.

Fyi i got this basic set up from a board member years ago so no clue how to effectively reproduce the adapter plate.

    Hope that helps.
