TA down pipes work fine with Jim R’s manifolds.

Don't know about the TA pipes but on my MagnaFlow downpipes the bolts do match up fine. It's the flair of the flange that doesn't. The ported manifolds are 2.4 In wide and a flange with a flair of 2 or 2 1/4 inches won't seal on mine.

I don't doubt that. As I mentioned in a previous post, the person who installed my 2 1/2 inch exhaust had the flair reduced to 2 inches and installed a smaller flange. So, the problem is mine, not Jim's.

The issue is that the stock manifolds have a 2.25" flare cone. Jim machines that off, and welds on a 2.5" cone. During testing I tried to use the pipes I had made, that fit Rodgers manifolds perfectly, on the unmodified stock manifolds, and they leaked like a sieve. So the inverse is going to be true I suspect.

Have not tried TA's downpipes, so can't comment there.

I didn’t think yours was; I was stating it in case others want to buy pipes to go with Jim’s manifolds.
    See you in BG!

Well, I think the issue is finally easier to see now that I've been to my exhaust guy and he has resolved it. Apparently, MagnaFlow offers their 2 1/2" system with downpipes having whatever flare at the end the user specifies. My exhaust guy tells me that he has seen their system delivered with both 2 1/4 and 2 1/2 in. flairs. Mine was apparently delivered with a 2 1/4 and the pipe was necked down to fit inside the fitting. Here's a before and after showing how he fixed the problem with a new 2 1/2 in. flare fitting and a new section of 2 1/2 inch pipe properly flared to mate with Jim's manifolds. So, the only thing one should do before fitting the ported manifolds to their downpipes, is to make sure they are 2 1/2 inches to start with and not necked down for stock manifold fit. And, yes, TAs pipes are 2 1/2 and do mate up perfectly.
