From some place in northern WI along the south shore of Lake Superior (might have been MI too) ...

Were any of those cars for sale? I am interested in seeing more of that 60 DeSoto next to the Cadillac.

Yeah, the first car isn't a Riviera but a Cadillac.

That 65 Rivvy would be a nice project if it isn't too rusty.:TU:

Good bird dog work Max. I used to live up that way. With a Holiday station, I'm guessing Ashland or Ironwood. Did you take the pics?

Whoops! Um, that was totally just a test. Good eye, you pass. :TU:

As for location, I was also not sober enough to get that right - my GF is pretty sure we werent near the shore yet and were still landlocked at that point ... so in retrospect I THINK it must have been here:

    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=napa+auto+near+hayward+wi&sll=42.983206,-89.370344&sspn=0.672092,1.224976&ie=UTF8&ll=46.078827,-91.40728&spn=0.079662,0.153122&z=13&iwloc=A

... since that is the only town on our route I can find with both a Holiday and a NAPA (which was part of the car lot - while I was in there buying some motor oil someone called in looking for non-fiberglass Model A bumpers) ... but can't for the life of me remember what the name of the lot was ... I"d say just call that Napa and ask 'bout it if you're interested.

Here are some other snaps from there - I'll leave the IDing the cars to you guys!

OK, this is kinda weird, if not at all Buick related:

See the Plymouth in that final pic?

Compare to the car we found later on that trip, up near Silver City Michigan, inside an abandoned copper mine building:

gah, just got weirder - see the blue charger? I was thinking it looked really familiar - and dug into some ol dpics I'd gotten form my parents and scanned - and sure as crap - check out my dad's old car getting hauled away when I was ... I dunno, maybe 5?

The Napa and Holiday are close together in Hayward-also pretty close in Spooner. A listmember nearby needs to report on whats there/condition/price and post result. I recall a couple bone yards in the area-Simon's on the south side in Hayward-maybe did major crushing -some years ago Kidder's at nearby Earle had alot of cars back in the pine trees, but don't go alone as there were a couple of very strange characters at that place-they quoted goofy high prices, too. A couple yards in the Rice Lake area-one crushed out I think and the other working that way. Scrap is $20/ton right now-peak was $340=crazy market like everything else!

Aside from the Riviera, that Studebaker Hawk ('62?) is interesting.
I think I see another earlier model in the background next to the Edsel.

I have the owners card and talked to him about the 65 Riv 2 years ago.
This is sad----Was a rust free California GS Riv with low miles(50k?) and ALL the stuff was there-air cleaner,2 4's, Posi, perfect black interior. Wasn't interested in selling at the time...

Did you post these on the board before?

I have this feeling I've seen them before.

It's possible-I go by there every year on my sled trip to the Michigan U.P. The red 65 Riv was very nice at the time. I'll call him tomorrow and see if anything has changed. We end up snowmobiling to Silver City on our trips.
