    Evangelical Christian.

Was raised in the Methodist Church but like many in my early years never got anything out of "Church". Found my way back into Church (Baptist) in the my late 20's & was Saved, but spiritually stalled out as went through my '30's.

Over last 3 years have joined & attend a (now large) Covenant church. Very progressive, cutting edge worship, but all the time Biblically based. Result... ton of folks coming to know Him, & staying & getting in small groups & learning about Him. When am away from home catch the week's message on the net. When am out of town, sure miss worship.

Awesome seeing God's work in people's lives!!!

    In Him,
    Roger

    jamyers, here is the link

    www.lifechurch.tv

Probably easiast to click the OKC link. The .tv part throws some folks off on church signage & on net links, but it sets Life apart from the other Life's.

Will try & find a link to the series that Invision magazine (web based magazine) did on Life, it was very interesting.

Well, I know that me being Cajun/native American everybody expects me to be Catholic, but I am not . :Brow: I am non denominational, just a plain old Christian. This allows me the freedom to believe any thing that I read in my Bible. :Smarty: I have come to know a lot of people, from all walks of life and all races. Without exception the ones who love God also loves their fellow man and truly tries to live in peace and harmony with each other. It doesnt matter what is on the sign hung over the church door. :pp
When we get to heaven I dont think we are going to tell God, " I cant go in there with them Baptist, or Lutherans or Chinamen or Hispanics or, or ,or who ever ......... No, we must treat every body alike. :TU:
When a person loves God, He is not only our God , He is our friend and that makes all the difference. :3gears:

Left at home????!!! Not really. If you proclaim to be something , be it. Be it every day every where, be what you say you are. If you dont protray what you claim to be, you are not what you say you are. If you dont live the way you claim to be, your faith is totally baseless and has absolutely no bearing on your life. Therefore you must live what you claim you are. Everywhere, everyday, with everything you do.

I was brought up going to Church of God, Baptist, Primative Baptist, Church of Christ, Lutheran, Assembly of God, etc., now I've learned not to follow denominations and be truly led by the Spirit.

    Need some help

I am so glad to see and read such strong words of public faith and praise to our Lord. :TU: I am presbyterian but I believe like James that it's what's in your heart that God sees. I am a novice Buick owner/operator and I've forgotten most of the mechanical knowledge I had in H.S., but I like to visit the BB for fun. I am more and more encouraged by fellow enthusiasts who share not only an affinity for cars but who love the Lord above all. Thank you.
Because I believe in the power of prayer and because you do to, I would like to ask you to remember my family and those in need this Christmas season. My in-laws are visiting and we've had a wonderful visit until today. I don't know what happened but they have been going through some tough times and had a blow up tonight. My father in-law packed up and left leaving his wife, my wife, and two little girls (who didn't even get to say good-bye) in tears. Not an hour later, my mother in-law's mother (89 years old) fell and is in the emergency room in California. :Dou: Needless to say, our joyous Christmas has been turned upside down. If you could, could you please say a little prayer for my in-laws (Charlie and Sheila) tonight? I ask for God's comfort and grace for those in need around the world and pray for our service men and women abroad who yearn for the opportunity to be with their families. Thank you, and keep it up-this is a great section!

    Hey George (Staged67gspwr),
I'm pretty close - I am Russian Orthodox. I attend my church & also my wifes Evangelical church. They are on quite different ends of the spectrum with regards to the actual church service, but I get a lot out of both services.
I am also a little sad that some people do not like this thread. Having God in ones life is a must. I am thankful to God that he guides a beer drinking, loud mouthed (& Buick Lovin') guy like me through life. Cannot imagine how empty my life would be without his love.
