Hey guys, I posted this question before, I believe, but now I have pics. Long story short, I rebuild this carb, had this brass tube left over. I think the tube goes in the hole the arrow points to, but tube ID is larger than corresponding brass insert on driver's side of the primary air horn. Does the tube go in there?? ou: KFD
Nope, looks like it belongs on the underside of the air horn: Looks like you're missing an air bleed orifice at the arrow, idle circuit I think: http://www.highperformancepontiac.c...ter_quadrajet_carburetor_tuning/photo_10.html Devon
put the idle channel tube in the idle tube hole and shake all about do the hoky poky and turn yourself around
The long brass tube goes in the underside of the airhorn, one on each side, and hang into the POE wells. The upper main airbleed is missing from the airhorn, and is required before placing the carburetor in service. We have new ones, either drive in or screw in (tapping the casting is required), contact the shop if you need a pair of them? http://cliffshighperformance.com/
