I am using B&M trick tansmission fluid the blue stuff in my TH400 and i have never had any problems with my transmissions. It sales for $3.95 a quart. What is the best type F to use and how much does a quart go for? :TU:

I try to use Castrol type f. But to be honest I have Coastal in the tranny now because I couldn't get castrol. It has been in there for the last two months and I have had no issues. I pound the crap out of the stuff and it seems to be holding up great. It's somtimes hard to find straight type F so I have to use what I can If i'm in need. I have had the best luck getting it at Auto Zone as much as I hate going in there.

If I remember, the B&M stuff is universal...can be used in type F or Dextron applications. Just keep using it. Buy in bulk. Summit used to have a 5-gallon (I think) bucket for pretty cheap....not in catalog anymore but they prolly still have it.

I use Type F in both of my Buicks and have done so for years with good results. I use whatever Type F I can find since it's alittle tougher sometimes to find than it use to be. I'm not sure that name brands make a huge difference here? Pep Boys usually has it.
