You have to solve the little problems before you can tackle the larger ones...lol. Differnt size tires will affect a posi unit and wear them out sooner as they will be traveling at different revolutions while driving. Not good.

Can you borrow a set of traction bars bolt on? anything to help control the pinion twist. have to see that this is a suspension being over powered with pinion twist.
What kind of tires re you using? brand make model etc. and how old are they?

I have used no hop bars with 2 air bags for years now.Never any problems.Put 10 PDS on the left side and 30 PDS on the right side.Done racing, just deflate the right bag to 10 pds. With Micky's my short time its in the 1.5's with slicks in the 40's or better.I have this system in my GS now for 15 years, never any problems. By the way all other parts [upers- lowers} are all stock.Bruno.

Brett you said you had a set of southside traction bars they will change the pinion angle they may fix your problem. You can still use the sway bar the traction bars you just have to make two brackets to straighten out the sway bar.

I have the TA no hop bars for years now. They are a quality piece. I also have Metco (adjustable) upper, and lower rear control arms.

The bushings were replaced with PST ones last summer.

Shocks are Delco replacements I put in back when I got the car to replace the air shocks. At the same time I put the sway bar back on and also the frame braces.

The springs are Moog 5385's and the tires are radial Wide Ovals G70-14's that were new last year.

This is a 4 speed car as well. The shock loads are a bit different.

After a conversation with Dave Johnson earlier today, I'm pretty sure my transmission mount is devoid of the two shims the assembly manual calls for in terms of the big block cars.

At some point over the 52 years, this transmission had been out and I don't recall them being intact when I swapped out Muncie's last year.

    That's my thinking, Jim.

I'll grab some grade 8 washers this week. I wish there was a source for these exact shims.

harbor freight 1.99 I use them to install perches on leaf spring cars...They always fall and fall apart after about 5-6 uses...lol. If you can keep them from dropping on the floor they work well for a good while... I am just clumsy..................
