Hi, would this carb fit easily onto my 73 455 (in a 67 Riviera)??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...ame=STRK:MEWAX:IT&viewitem=&item=290252809821 Im not totaly sure on what to look for as i need a new carb! Cheers guys
Bump. Actually i will rephrase that. Will any quadrajet from a 70-76 455 fit my 73 455??? so long as its non-AC and auto like my car?? Cheers
All Q-jet carbs use the same spreadbore bolt pattern. They will bolt to the intake, and automatic and A/C makes no difference. There can be some interference issues with some throttle linkages and certain intakes, but that is rare. Buick Q-jets have a front mounted fuel inlet, Chevy Q-jets have side mounted inlets. Not a big deal unless you want it to look correct and you don't want to change your fuel line.
Sweet, cheers for that Larry. Think i will look for a 72 up aye??? is that when they went to 800cfm???
I may have sourced this rebuilt carb from an ebay merchant. Seen as its a 74 455 i should be good to go aye? 7044240 1974 455 1 R4
