Will a TH 350 live behind a strong 462?

I like the weight savings with a TH 350. Will one live behind a stout 462" motor on the street? Or am I really needing to go the TH 400 route? The cars are heavy enough!

There is a certain Stage 2 car that uses a th350. Propperly built it can handle more than you think . I have a th350 in our Stage 1 Suncoupe clone and its been there for 15 years with no issues. I have drag raced the car and street driven it and its works fine. It does have some good parts but nothing special. The car is approx 400 hp in a low compression engine . However I have never used slicks.

Ive used the 350 behind my last 455. Fairly stock with headers and exhaust, 125 shot of nitrous, and drag radials that hooked. Ran the same et the first pass to the last. Just find someone that can build them, ive seen them behind cars with 650hp and survived.

    My 455 combo uses a TH350.
Just get good parts in one!
Trans brakes are a little sketchy for them I hear.

Greg Gessler uses a 350C and he has gone 10.95, need I say more. Properly built, the THM350 will handle it.

I ran a turbo 350 in my camaro race car for years. Big Block with 8" converter and 5:13 gears with slicks. Never had a tranny problem.

However, for our 464 build, I am going with a turbo 400, only because I have one now to build.

Let me ask you this one. I think my TH350 is past the point of fixing...it's old and when I fix one leak, another pops up...some easy to fix, others not (pump seal, detent cable)

If you were in my shoes, would you look for a TH350 from a good source or would you look for a TH400. I would rather buy one if they aren't that much rather than try to re-build mine myself, but I guess I'm looking for advice on that too.

I have a 462 and plan on putting slicks on the car. Any opinions would be appreciated. Also, if I were to look to purchase, what would each go for these days?
