I am hoping that a 64 ST300 speedometer gear will work in my mid-70's Saginaw 4 speed (2 ring). I didn't pursue it on the ST300 out of my 64 Special because the housing that the gear lives in looks a lot different than the housing that pulls out of my saginaw. I fact I don't know how to remove the gear from my ST300, I took the bolt and retainer bracket out, but I don't know if that housing turns out or what direction to try to turn it. Since my parts car rear is going into my car with the Saginaw 4 speed, I know that the speedometer will read correct.
