Now my next hassle on the 72 skylark -

Quarter Glass - My glass seems to wobble a bit, side to side, and when you crank it, it has a lot of play to it from front to back. I am wondering from experience, what have you guys changed? It looks like the track is all good and tight. The guides look good, but the rollers appear to be worn and need replaced. Can anyone tell me if this has helped in their situation?

Front Window Glass - These rattle from the inside of the door to the outside, if that makes sense. They roll up and down great, but when you drive down the road when the window is down or part way down, the glass rattle back and forth, and when you shut the door it rattles. I would like to know what people have done in this situation as well.

NOTE: all windows have the outside window felts, but when the PO redid the interior and did door panels, he did not put the inside window felts on. I do plan to get some for it, but I am sure that this has nothing to do with the rattleing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jeremy.

Replacing the inner felts will keep the windows from ratting. Sounds like worn out parts in the quarter windows. You can buy the new mechanism for $60 or probably find used ones for half that price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-72-Ch...532776&hash=item5b3b7a3f67:g:7-QAAOSwpHFZadnh

Since these fit a bunch of different cars and years, they are pretty abundant. Guy down the road from me has 30 or 40 A-bodies laying out in his field, so I just replace the entire mechanism when I need to.

One thing you might check are all the adjustment screws to make sure they are tight. Everything on these windows is adjustable... height windows go up and down, forward/backward, in/out, angle, etc. Someone may not have tightened up the adjustment screws. It is a pain in the butt getting a window adjusted just right.

Can you tell me where these adjustment screws are?

So I don't have any good diagrams, but here is a video that goes over a lot of the window adjustments. It is a chevelle, but they are all A-bodies.
