Not sure where to post this question. I need to replace the front windshield on my 1971 Skylark. My window trim already has some dings related to what I believe was the previous resealing of the old/current windshield. As I am looking to replace the windshield and haven't located someone to straighten the old trim I was considering buying an aftermarket set. Is there one brand of product that is a better quality than the rest or are they all the same?

I think all the repros are the same, originals are better. You can probably find an undinged set on ebay. be aware the upper piece is different for a 'vert.

I've been looking for quite some time now. Can't wait any longer as the windshield is at its end!

Find someone who does older restorations and see if they will repair what you have. I found a very meticulous fella here who sells classic parts for a living and flips classics. I gave him my windshield trim, back window trim and my side trim to straighten, sand and polish. So far he did the window trims and is in the process of doing the side trims. He did an awesome job on them. Charged me $350 which to me seemed reasonable considering his time involved, his equipment and materials. Yeah, i maybe able to replace them cheaper but, this original trim that looks brand new and superior in quality IMO.
