One of the pins broke off that holds the clip in place for the trim. What can be done?

If the trim stays down nice I would just leave it, if you can drill a small hole and then screw the clip in that would work also, another option is to remove the windshield and take a stud gun and weld a new stud in.

broken off stud for windshield clip

I have the windshield removed since this is a restro project so no problem welding in a stud. Where do I find these studs and just what is a stud gun?
Since the windshield came out broken where can I find a another one? perfer new GM
    Thank you

Any body shop will have one, they are used for spot welding pins on a dent and then using a slide hammer to pull the dent out. In your case they have trim studs that are like the ones on your windshield that can be welded on in the same manner.

Thank you! I don't think a body shop will let me borrow their equipment. I will look into this and see what I can come up with.
