I remember Casey's girlfriend falling on her face when her shoes stuck to the glue at Norwalk one time. LOL.. I could always launch there without sliding the clutch at 5000 with no spin and no bog. That was about the only place I could do that...

I long time ago at Muncie Dragway when it was 1/4 I was in Super/Pro with the Electra, when we could run down to 12.0, and the first two cars were to burn past the starting line past the 60 foot to spread the dynabite out.
That was fun with the 70 Electra doing a John Force burnout across the line.
Those where the good old days!

I remember the stickiness of Norwalk that day as well. I believe that's the year I had a green Hulk cast on my left hand from punching a horse.
I think Cindy's eyes looked worse than my hand though.

Here's one of my runs at the action traction of Muncie Dragway where you could see streams of sticky dynabite coming from the tires and I needed it a 3900 lbs!

If tracks these days did not prep like that, racing would be a lot different.

One problem with a track that is too sticky, besides parts attrition, is this shot. This is why wheelie bars are a plus.
This is our friends brand new car at Maple Grove this year:shock:
That is John behind the car. What do you think is going through his head at that moment:eek2:

Im no racer and have zero experience... but I would think when the track is that sticky, the next weakest link is a part of your car. U-joints, gears, axels, trans...
    frickin cool though!
