    Hey Greg:

Hope all is well with you.

A while back you were going to work on woodgrain pieces for the big buicks. I bought pieces from you and they didn't fit, but I kept them anyway, hope you remember.

Still looking for dash pieces for LeSabre/Wildcat/Electra. Thanks!

Hey Paul - yes, I remember. You can send those back anytime and we can get squared up - no problem. As for the progress on the others, well, other priorities on $$ and demand issues have put these on the back burner.

The art is done, but the next step is when it gets spendy and I'm not ready to pull the trigger yet. Hang loose - the new year is coming and things should start moving along then.

    Greg:

No problem - I've waited this long, a little while longer won't matter. Keep in mind that there are quite a few big car owners on this board that would probably jump at the chance to buy new dash pieces for their rides. I don't think you'll have any trouble selling them.

I'll just keep the other pieces. Who knows, maybe someday I'll own one of those "smaller" Buicks and I'll aready have the dash pieces!

    Greg,

What would it cost me for the 2 woodgrain pieces for a 70-72 auto console? How much less would blems cost me and what typically would be wrong with the blems?

Sorry, Carl - I'm no longer doing the console kits and I'm totally out of any pieces, good or blems.

    Thanks, though.

    What are blem kits? Blemish?

Also, did Buick ever do black on the center consoles? I'd like to have a black dash kit, but not only if I can find black for the center console.

Blems might be some slight registration issues, or a little spec or smudge or a slightly-off die cut. Nothing major - I trash the really bad ones. Also, normally there is only one or two pieces that are "blem" - not the entire set.

Now, it is your lucky day on the black console kit! I ran a few a while back at the end of a regular run just for grins. I do have a few sets left. $25 plus shipping will cover it. Email me for more info.

    Thanks!

Greg, I have an NOS black A/C controller will the black kit look the same? Do you have a sample of the material like a punchout disc I can put next to my dash

Sorry for the delays, folks. I was out of the country for work last week.

First - Patrik - yes I still have a few blems in black. What makes them a blem is a slight registration issue, maybe a die-cut off a little, or a smudge. Nothing major and not all the pieces are "blem-ed" - I trash the really bad ones. Shipping to Sweden would run $15US via Int'l Priority Mail. Please email me direct for more info.

Second - Gary - thanks for the kind words! Glad you are happy with your set.

Third - John - the material I use is flat, not pebble-finished like the originals in black. Visually & color-wise they look great. If you did not know they were supposed to have the texture, you would not see any issues or differences. Send me an email to the address below and I can get you a piece in the mail if you want. Otherwise, check out my listings on eBay, user id is mistergs. There are a couple of good shots there.

    Thanks, all.

    Greg:

When will you have the gs non-air c/w console woodgrain kit. The last time I contacted you only had the dash but no console.

I discontinued the console kits a while back. There is a small chance that I may do another run, but it will be short one at the request of one of my restoration customers who is funding the entire run. These are just not cost-effective for me to do any longer - there are plenty of kits out there and I don't sell enough to justify the cost of the run.

If I end up with extras, I'll let folks know. Thanks.
