I am thinking that I am going to go original colors on my car, burgundy-mist with sandalwood interior and top. But I would like to give the GSX hood treatment to my extra hood and I think black would be too dark. While silver- mist looks awesome with burgundy-mist it probably wouldn't go with the sandalwood top. So I was thinking that gold (possibly coronet gold) on the hood would go best. Thoughts?
>>I think that gold would go nice on the burgundy mist. Or perhaps white for more of a contrast? I now have the black GSX stripes on my Skylark's burnished cinnamon paint and was considering doing the usual red pin striping in gold. P.S. I also have the sandalwood interior. By the way, do you have Sandalwood buckets in your car? I would be curious to see a pic if you do as I have a pair of saddle buckets that I am going to restore to the sandalwood color.
Thanks, I found a couple of burgundy-mist (chevy called it black cherry) chevelles with stripes. Here is a thread about sandalwood buckets. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=31645&highlight=sandalwood+buckets
I love the burgundy mist, but I'm not so sure the gold stripes would look that great. Are you going to outline the stripes like on the GS hood? If so, what color would you use with the gold? I thought about something similar, only with champagne mist stripes, or a darker version of champagne, maybe close to that mineral gray on the newer mustangs (kind of a tan/gray color). That would look great outlined in black, in my opinion. Do you have a picture of your car or a similar car I could photochop? ________ ZX14 VS HAYABUSA
I think you are probably right, a champagne color would look the best, but I was hoping to stay with a Buick color. I appreciate you guys that have the skill/patience to play with the photochop stuff.
>>Thanks for the thread on the sandalwood buckets! That is exactly what I want to do to my interior. I already have the shorty center console in an off-white and the sandalwood sport steering wheel. I was wondering if some company made the bucket seat covers in sandalwood as I never saw any offered but that is good to know that they can be custom made.
