I have a Muncie 4 speed transmission with P0B09B stamped into the housing along with 3925661 cast into the housing. It also has one horizontal line with 5 vertical lines intersecting the horizontal line cast into the case. Any idea what this info represents? See picture... Is this transmission correct for a 70 BBB? Thanks for helping decode this transmission.
It should be correct for a 1970. How many teeth on the input/output shafts? https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/guide-muncie-m20-m21-m22-four-speed-transmissions/amp/
P0B09B To the best of my knowledge: P = Muncie 0 = 1970 B = February 09 = 9th day of the month B = M-21 close ratio , Which is transmission used by Buick Is there a VIN number stamped on the transmission somewhere such as 40Hxxxxxx
5speeds.com has good decoding info: https://www.5speeds.com/muncie2.htm It confirms what David posted above.
