Just bought a mostly restored ‘68 GS-400 and joined so I could get info on replacement parts, etc. I was a street rod owner before this (‘34 Chevy 5 window) and this is my 1st Buick! I’m trying to keep the GS all stock, and I know OEM parts may be hard to find. Looking forward to learning a lot on this forum. Rick Day, Lansdale PA.
Welcome aboard Rick! This is definitely the place to come if you’re looking for parts. I have two’68 Gran Sports myself. Enjoy!
Welcome Rick. Is this your '68 GS 400 convertible? I saw it listed online for sale and I thought it looks very attractive in both condition and how it is optioned.
Welcome Rick! The guys here are a wealth of knowledge. Feel free to ask your questions. If you get a chance could you post some pics? I really like the 68-69 Skylark/GS's. Jim
Love your 68. I too have only been on this forum for a little over 2 years and I too bought my first 70 Buick GS that has been "restored". I have gotten a lot of help, assistance and solid advice from a lot of members on this fantastic forum. You will love it. VET (Navy)
Welcome from the Northeast. You will find very helpful information here. The people on this forum have a lot of knowledge and are always willing to help.
Wow. Beautiful car Rick! If I was going to own a '68... That color combo w/the stripe is super sharp and looks to be nicely optioned. There was orig. a dealer installed/parts counter functional ram air kit for the '68 that feeds off the fresh air plenum (requires a hole to be cut in the upper firewall). Someone on here reproduced it. Not sure whether or not I could cut the hole were it mine but it's a neat setup.
Unless you are racing, why would you do that? The 400 is plenty powerful breathing through that snorkel.
