I had forgotten all about that areed guy...lol. He was such a moron. At least this is listed in a differant state.
Well the air cleaner is a 72, missing some interior peices, not sure about the steering wheel, but does have Q-Q on the plate.
I noticed some faults also, One is starting to catch my attention is his payment of a federal wire transfer. also, (member since 2002) with no sales???
How would you know who areed is with one post and that he has made 200,000 dollars. Unless you are areed!!! with a new name. Welcome aboard new member.
He or areed deleted his post. Man I have problems too. but if this is areed with his problems..." I would not give his problems to a monkey on a rock". (letterman last night) laughed for no reason because I did not get it. Still funny. Any one know this car? Bad docs... but an original ss block engine to what??? about 10 negetive things people are seeing just on the ebay ad.
I can't tell for sure, but the power steering pump looks to be a 72 style also. Interior looks pieced together w/ 70 panels and seats. To quote Napoleon Dynamite, this car looks like a delicious bass...fishy
Seller responded pretty quickly to my request for the VIN in the absence of "any documentation." The car does have TX Registration and Inspection stickers in the base of the driver's side windshield, albeit they appear to be the styles from a few years ago. The TX title date goes back to circa 1997, so on paper it has been there since then... The prior owner was a READING BUICK PONTIAC ... interesting. If an eBay Seller changes names, does s/he get to revert back to the original "join" date?
Issues: 1. Interior: a. driver’s seat belt retractor looks like it is facing backwards (interior taken apart, replaced & jambs repainted?); b. interior door panels missing arm rests pedestals and mounting holes (new/replacements?, I thought most replacements came w/ die cut holes already.); c. GS steering wheel; d. GSX dash emblem, weren’t the letters outlined in chrome plating on originals? 2. Exterior: a. rocker panels? b. Door jamb striker post w/ fresh repaint? Same for door jamb light pin switch; c. Fender bolt to engine compartment on driver’s side firewall is not painted, looks rusty & old (recent assembly?); d. Rear driver side exhaust – there appears to be a reflection of yellow body paint in the chrome bumper from the top/side of the exhaust pipe extending out beyond the bumper (paint overspray?); e. WG wheels? f. Driver side mirror mounting looks a little off; g. Engine compartment – oil & dirt patterns look odd, appears either a fresh liquid spill (top of foams & inner drivers wheel house) or the dirt looks disturbed & rubbed off, lots of seals & trim missing; h. Cowl vent covers, air cleaner year, A/C compressor pulley size/diameter… There could be explanations for all of these issues. But remember, the Buick world is better off w/ one more accounted for GSX than not. Just hope this is just as advertised w/ the numbers (VIN & block). Hate to have an areed, jr. out there... one is quite enough.
