Can someone comment on the VIN being in range for GSX's or not?

On the Data plate, does the 03D relate to the body build date of 4th week of March? The rivet heads do not appear molested .... at least on top.

Yes, I parked next to 70 stage1 Gsx yesterday with a build date 04A (first week in April) Very much in the parameters of correct build time.

The VIN and Body #'s are in the range to be a GSX. A call to Wayne Roberts and a little cash would confirm it. I think Wayne gets $150.00 for quick turn around. Considering a numbers matching non-stage 4-speed completely unrestored and needing a lot of stuff got up to 56K on E-Bay a few weeks ago this could be a good deal for someone. I would seriously consider it but my garage it full.

That being said there are nice cars with older restoration out there right now for decent money that are complete and would not need additional work.

The VIN is posted right above the picture.

I spoke with him last Friday and he said he has seen the SS code on the Block. I gave him advice to get a picture of it with serial number. This gentleman was very plesant to speak with. There is some quite chatter on this GSX car so something must be cooking behind the scene.

    Mark,

Is that VIN in your registry? Just curious as the history of the car. Also, has anyone who has spoken with the seller got an idea of the reserve or magic price?

    Thanks,

This car is not in the registry. I have no knowledge of the car except for what is on EBay and I have not spoken to the owner.

I agree Mark. If someone was serious, contacting Wayne is the way to go.

If its a QQ car (as it shows to be) there should be no question as to whether its an X or not. The question is whether the trim plate was a transplant.

    Single Stage Stage 1?

I sent him an email and he said he was looking for somewhere around 70-75k for it, but he wouldnt give out the reserve. It does seem like something is strange with this one. 70-75k is way too much for a car that would need a concours restore to be worth investing in....not to mention itd need a frame off resto to even be a show car.
