Yes, I have 185.5 hrs so far. As you can see firewall and frame is done, and I replaced the 2 front floor pans and I have stripped and sandblasted the fenders (inside and out),doors, trunk lid,and hood, and they currently in rough body work and primer, waiting to be reunited with it's body. For finish bodywork. Oh Yeah,I still need to do rad support.
I can't wait to get my engine parts in, so I can finish up the engine bay.

185.5 hrs into it huh if you base that on a shop rate of $50 a hr that would be $9275 wow how much do you have to go ?

Well, I ended up ordering new outer trunk braces,
and the rest of the trunk floor pans after showing my customer the wek spots. So next week I hope to get back on those piece.
I will keep this updated, just not much to report right now.
Currently test fitting the doors and fenders and rad support.
It's like watching paint dry if you know what I mean.

Well it's been awhile since i've posted, but I did manage to finish painting the motor, and some of the bolt ons. Boy did I have a very, very hard time getting the distributor out,the corrosion was built up right inside the timing chain housing. Well, I have been spending most of my time bolting on the fenders and doors trying to get nice gaps. The hood as usuall was a task, but I finally got it to where it will stay. Now's the time to take it all back apart and finish up the body work on the qtrs. My interior guy has got it all done, except for the bucket seats, because I haven't taken the time to sandblast the frames yet.

I also repaired the rad support and you can see that in the Color is everything thread, under "I tackled the rad support"

Anyway here's a pix of the motor as of today, notice rare and $$$$$ oil pressure unit. Can't wait to get the carb back from Dan Adams. I'll post pix when it back together.

Well not a full restore Don, I never took it off the frame.
Everyone knows what a domino affect is, and that's exactly what happened here. We couldn't give the car an awesome paint job and leave the engine looking the way it did, so out came the engine. It needed a rear main seal anyway. So sandblast and paint I did.

The car is going to be nothing less than awesome for a driver. One that I will be proud of for years to come. I sure hope this other deal i've got going is going to pan out, because I want to do a car for myself and get to the GS Nationals next year if at all possible. I've never done a car for myself and I think it's about dam time I did.

    Thanks Rex!

I have a question what are you using on the pitted rust you find what kind of neutralizer for the rust?

I'm sandblasting everything that is rusted so it's nice and clean. Then i'm using Epoxy primer to seal it up, followed by Duponts 2K primer.

I use DuPonts Epoxy, but any company's epoxy primer will do.
