heres the redlines i just installed..
I think they are Coopers, and they took very little wieght to balance.
    255-60 out back
    235-60 up front

I would have done 245-60 in the front but they did not have in the same tread pattern...i think they are bf radial ta's..

The stance seems ok but wierd to see the car without the bias plys so may take some getting used to?

My thoughts are maybe I should have tried 275-60 rear and 255-60 fronts but oh well...

Very nice combo! I was wondering if those 255/60 would rub when mounted up front? Looks like they will be a great match along with som 295s in the back, but idk about the overall tire hight.

I don't believe the fronts will rub, they look smaller than the bias plys and i believe i could have went bigger on the front such as a 245-60 as Jim Lore had suggested to replace my G60's..

The purists are prob going to hate me and these tires but i had to put radials on so i could drive safely....

Nice cruiser you have there. Glad you like the thread! I started this thread in hopes of gettin folks to post there combos so other members could have a goal to shoot for with their own car. Hope to keep gettin pics.:beer
Also gives us some buick eye candy... lol
One thing that hasn't been talked about much here is tire safety and purchasing the right tire. Id like to have some input on those. Things like how low folks let their tread get before buying a new set and what made them purchase the tire they did, sale, performance, looks, usage...
When I. Purchase tires for any of my vehicles the first thing I do is look at the tread wear rating. This gives me a good idea of how many miles to expect out of the tires. Say for instance I find a tire I like with a tread rating of 420, well what I do is add two zeros to that so I makes 42,000. This is how I know how many miles I can get if driving like grampa. But I dont , so I subtract maybe 10 or 15 thousand from that to compensate for things like driving habits, suspension wear, and tire rotation. I've yet been far off from my calculation when using this method. Ofcourse other may have there own ways of going about it.:beer

    1964 Wildcat:

    Front: 235/60R-15 BFG
    Rear: 255/60R-15 BFG

Stock 6.5 inch wheels. No clearance or rub issues. Stock suspension except for air shocks in rear. 80 psi gives a nice rake :Brow:
