I think 340 mounts might work with that as v6 mounts are way to mushy

Great stuff on these heads, I hadn't caught up in awhile. I do believe they are destined for greatness.

So I'm naturally wondering if any of these improvements will find their way over to the Rover heads? Let's not forget that the Rover heads are also a 340 head and a 300 head and a 300 is really just a short deck 350, so a Rover head is really a 350 head with equally spaced ports. Something to think about if all it takes is a more aggressive CNC porting program.

I suppose I could accept either name, tee hee.
The Supra/SC300 has its own cast aluminum cross member that the suspension, steering rack, and engine all mount to, and it bolts to the frame.
I had to modify the frame to fit, and make my own coilovers and shock tower adapters, but it's back on it's wheels again.
My apologies for the thread hijack.

A few people quit at TA, but they did hire a good guy so they should be able to get the heads done and ready to ship soon... The only question is??? how many sets heads did they do in this run and how long till the next run is made.

That's my question too. I want a set, but don't need them for a while and would think there could be improvements on a subsequent run.

We only need one pair for Sean to port and test, then improvements/ mods can be made based on outcome.

I called TA yesterday to order my pushrods and talked to Mike for almost 2 hours about all sorts of stuff, he did mention about a few guys (machinists?) not there anymore:eek:
He asked if I was a machinist, I said no, I paint cars.
Boy, if I WAS a machinist, and I was single, AND no ties to Ohio, I'd work for TA in a heartbeat:TU:
Mike, Tim and everyone else at TA are GREAT people, and I make it a point to buy my Buick stuff from them.

this doesnt sound too promising. men quitting. unkown quantity of heads, untested unported heads, sounds like prototype heads. aluminum heads sound wonderful but they dont sound like a finished product. I am definitely interested though now that I have decided to stick with my 350s. There is no need for 455s for the kind of driving I want to do.(street tires, street cruising, 0-60, good mpg)

You might wanna slow down Mister! Your actions could really be bad and you won't get any replies if you get to rude. I know, I burnt down to many bridges in here. My advise to you is. Seat back and go through the post or threads you like, learn from them. Then ask simple questions. Make sure you got them well thought out before you post them. Don't be rude in any shape or form. You'll make it farther then me. Trust me on this one.

I wouldn't get discouraged, they'll come to market when they're ready, its a HUGE undertaking for a VERY limited market.
I applaud TA for EVERYTHING they provide for the (very small) Buick market:TU:

If you look at TA's track record their products are always good quality and there in no doubt in my mind that the finished product will be awesome. It takes a ton of money and a lot of cash to develop a head that will perform well. They had to hire a head designer, it is a huge job. TA is not going anywhere and the heads will be a game changer, I am excited!

I have this vision of sticking my 350 with a pair of these heads and an aluminum intake in a 61-62 Special. That would be a fun car.

No one knows better than I do about how long it can take to bring any part to market. I have wanted a good head for the BBB since I was at Kenne-Bell. Thanks to Mike at TA we even have a Stage 2 head. It's not like Mike or anyone else can do everything by himself, he has a business to run and OH Yeah he does have to sleep sometime. I wished I lived it AZ, I would give him a hand. I have learned that we just have to wait, and I hate to wait!!! Thanks Mike for all your help. For you 350 guys, hang in there.
