Not seat belt, they are correct for this car. Not wood grain, clear glass is correct, no door panel emblems are correct for this car. redmanf1 & hugger are correct. Someone removed the white carpet and replaced it with black carpet. That, to me, lowers the value of this car quite a bit. Too bad someone couldn't leave well enough alone!!
The floor mats were white too, thinking it was the cut pile not the loop style too, I remember it was wadded up around the gas pedal
Carpet was dirty, so new owner replaced. Auction house is checking to see if he saved it, but they don't think he did.
Looks like they need to clean the steering wheel and touch up the vinyl dye on the kick panel too. I know John took great pains trying to keep the carpet clean, all for naught. Sad.
You'd think that anyone that would get the chance to own that car would realize the significance of that white carpet.......that's a shame.
And people wonder why I will not sell my GSX, no way, no how. This is exactly why. I would get physically ill seeing something like that done to the GSX.
Uhhh... What's going on under the left side of the padded dash panel. Why is the edge of the left kick panel fuzzy?
Doesn't that car belong in a museum or something? It is a fantastic and beautiful car but it should be where it can be seen not stashed away in somebody's garage or whatever. And it sure as hell shouldn't be driven. It wouldn't be a good car for a guy like me to own. Bob H.
What a shame. Its sickening that someone is so blind to what makes that car so unique and valuable. That carpet alone was probably the most striking feature of the interior. I remember reading articles about it, that the car was driven without shoes to keep the carpet pristine. Id love to have an interior that payed tribute to the fireglow car.
