We are also on a well. We installed a natural gas fueled 45 KVA back up generator for just such emergencies. We did not have this when Hurricane Fran struck in 1996. I remember the situation with just a 5.5kVA gasoline fired portable unit. We wish you the best.
Winds were very bad here in Jersey. It started out rain and mixed with snow. Neighbor lost a tree. Saturday I was on my way out the door and noticed a large tree leaning towards the house. I called a few tree companies and no call back. I decided to try another one and they answered. I got lucky and they came out and a couple hours later they got the tree down. Cost me a ton of money for last minute but at least my house is safe.
I have relatives near Cobleskill. They got about 40”, with another foot on the way later this week. I think we were around 15” near Syracuse. A lot of power outages from downed trees.
This about 2 blocks from me . One of the cars has been removed. Other 2 still there . Looked like the cars were moving when the tree came down. No deaths as far as I know
Come on Jim . You usually put a great forcast accumalation map . I'm still waiting . Plow is on the truck

The bride and one of her friends are heading up the I-95 corridor starting tomorrow. The worst of the storm will be today and tonight, so by Friday they should be OK in the northeast. They will make it to Virginia on Thursday night.
Not much going on yet by me. They are calling for 12 plus inches in my area. I guess it is going to be bad in a couple of hours.
Larry —expect another groveling delegation from the Mayor’s office to appear at you front door seeking yet another assist with the snow situation developing this afternoon.
Nothing yet here in Queens. Just some light flurries, no accumulation. It's supposed to ramp up big time this afternoon. Queens is close to the dividing line between big snow totals and next to nothing on eastern LI.
Coming down pretty good here in Pa. about 3" so far. Expecting 10-12". The Wx risk map was updated last night, here's the latest. Large descrepency between it and NWS!
