Wonder if Buick ever flirted with the idea of putting the Riviera on the A/G chassis, sort of how the Monte Carlo is/was the older sister to the Malibu. It would have been the upgraded Regal, with more voluptuous lines. They probably were too heavily invested into the two year big car 77-78 body. Any historians out there?
I prefer the brown one over yellow, but yellow one has potential. Turbo? eh, who cares. Like Keith I would take a 350 4 barrel in 1979. Yes, it's wrong to want one if your sole purpose is speed, muscle.
This 79 that had 21K and never driven in the rain and sitting in the original owners garage beside his wife's equally beautiful 15K 1993 Riv is one I could kick myself for not buying. A friend and I went to look at the car and he bought it, he sold it a couple years later, stupid move on my part for not buying it from him. Loaded car with the 35o. This would have been around 2008. to me, the most beautiful Riv of this vintage I have ever seen
