GADS! No ABS, Smooth tires, no OSHA headache rack, no passive and air bag restraining devices, a log for a parking brake, probably steel faced pedals, no collapsible steering column and the worst part is no visors to place all the warning stuff about "safety" devices in 12 different languages, of course, with English last; Ill bet theres no sulphur scrubber on that open bladed sawmill boiler in the background or urineburner on that tractor engine either. The guys all look like theyve been drinking on that 20 hour shift... Ill bet those guys are all dead, dead, DEAD! One good thing though; the 1 million candella halogen headlights arent aimed into the oncoming drivers eyes. I do hope the GVWR placard is in place on the door jamb with recommended tire pressures. Sure wouldnt wanna have a blowout with SIXTY tons of logs on solid rubber tires woodja??? ws
Acura is an example of how to do it rite. 2002 TLS CENTER council shift. Automatic on one side and manual on other side.
I wouldnt own a 4 cylnder. Its over man , game over. New cars suck. The onez that mess with the shifer. Well they stoped making the TL. Which was the new version of the legend. Who arr these f ked up market research clowns changing shifters.
Cuba has all the great classic cars now. I bet the car makers are secretly making parts for them and not selling them to us.
Why wouldn't you own a 4 cyl ? Have you ever driven a 4 cylinder turbo car ? If your Riv is stock, my 4 cyl turbo SUV handily outruns you 0-60, Riv 8 sec, mine 6.4 sec, so speed certainly isn't a good reason. Would be pretty embarrassing for you to be whooped by the likes of a 4 cyl awd SUV LOL, A we aren't even talking about a serious 4 cyl
I love my 2018 Mustang shifter. looks like a normal shifter with P R N D S. d is for normal driving and S changes everything from throttle response to transmission behavior and while S stands for Sport mode in this case it also stands for Smile.
Nope, nope, nope... I hate nanny cars and have been de-nannifying myself and going back to cars that don't ding incessintly. Don't want a car to ding-ding-ding at me to put on a seatbelt, add washerfluid or oil or air in the tires or a lamp is burned out or, backing up, or, or... Get out to check the mail or close a gate between pastures and it dings non stop. For the love of Pete I know the door is open, I check and maintain my vehicles on a regular basis so stop dinging and telling me it's due for an oil change!!!! You guys drive what you like but I'm working my way back in time. Upgrading older cars to better suspensions, ignition, AC, cruise control, brakes and tires is easy today. I just want it to do what I want it to do: don't need some millenial engineer telling me this is how it's gonna be from now on pops! Oh yea it absolutely must have V-8 rumble too... Mikey
Yeah i been whopped by a suburu wrx turbo. A awd suv 4cyln if it exists would be a new one. I would not call anything with a 4 cylnder a suv.
A friend of mine has an ecoboost F150 with a tiny engine and the thing is a rocket. It will put to shame most muscle cars of the 60s while getting 20MPG. With the turbo(s) and lots of gears, it feels super-torquey.
Honestly, most any newer 4 cyl economy car would probably whoop you, most of the basic ones have 0-60 times around 8 with the sporty version going down from there. Kinda like the guys that said the same thing when the Turbo GN's came out (insert rolling eyes here)
As cars have evolved into functional tools, 4 cylinder internal combustion technology is an example of engineering at its best...IMO. Having said that, and grown up in the golden age of the American automobile, I use "functional" daily and "form" when I need a nostalgia fix...
Egad.. it what universe do Grey and Brown go together.. that looks horrible. Typical new car, no shift lever to bother your use of the cup holders. Bleh..
If I remember correctly, that’s all black, not grey as the pic looks. Black and brown is a very common interior combo right now
Not Hardly . I have a 700r4 transmission, 3.07 rear gear , I get quite a nice jump off the line with the low 1 gear ratio of the 700, then the rest of the goodies under the hood kick in. Ive made plenty of BMW owners not look or nod as I slow down to acknowledge them. I have been beat off the line by an Acura TL type S , but now i own one so I dont feel so bad. A Grand National will make you feel good for a second or too as their turbo lag lets you think you got them, and then all you see is tail lights. I was being nice but now I will say I will leave your modern tech 4cyln Hyandi back quite a bit. Its a very nice grocery getter or pic up the kids car. And 0 to 60 , try between 5 and 6. Pretty much shift into second as 1st gear tops out at 55, 60. The first couple seconds are just getting enough speed to not break the tires loose, as soon as you hit the floor your topped out, then its 85 90 and your in 3rd. about 5 seconds later in 3rd your seeing the needle past 120 with athourity. A quarter mile high 13 low 14, with some traction and a posi rear and the 3.07 ratio, 12 no doubt.
Lol, I was talking stock to stock, of course GM you can blow hot air but there are plenty of potent stock 4 ‘s out there that will wipe your ass and toss you aside like toilet paper if you are in the 5-6 range. You can wish all you want but facts and specs are not on your side
