Thank you! And these wheels and tires gave me the most trouble I've ever had with a new wheel setup, but we made them work and it was worth the frustration!
New headlights over the weekend. Old headlights had older style halos that weren't very bright and had individual leds, new lights have much bright halos that consist of a solid line rather than dotted leds. They are wired in with the parking lights and also function as turn signals to give me some better visibility to others when marking turns. Have a more exciting lighting project going on elsewhere on the car that should be completed in the next few weeks, converting the tail lights to leds with sequential blinkers. A little modernization, but a good safety upgrades too as these make my braking/turning intentions well known, even in high sunlight where the old style lights can get a little dangerous.
i figured those would be tacky when i saw them online for sale but those look pretty nifty on that car. did you run just amber ones. i dont think i want to run green that may be tacky but to match the park lights would be ok.
Thank you, I like the look of them too. I feel the same as you about some of the other color ones I've seen, but I do like just the regular old amber. So these are just amber halo's that come ready to be wired either as turn signals or parking lights, we just customized them to work as both.
i think i may run a set those would be nice. how do they do when you got headlights on? can you see them as signals?
With the headlights on they still offer additional viability for the turn signals, albeit more from the inner lights as the high beams are not on. The low beams do flush out a lot of the turn signal on the outside lights, but I'm also running HID's so the low beams are pretty bright. Also, for how the car was wired stock, the parking lights turn off once the headlights are turned on, so at that point they are only on as turn signals. Next time I have it out at night I will see if I can get a picture or video of how they look under that circumstance.
@nekkidhillbilly Here's a picture showing the blinker on with the low beams, definitely can't see much at all on the low beam but the inner light still show nicely. Also got these tail lights in tonight, video does not do them full justice, these things are bright!
I like it, my first choice would have been a budnik steering wheel but that would have required getting a new steering column. For the price and using the stock column, I really like this wheel. Has a nice feel and look, and was very affordable (I think around $170). Good size too, just about the size of my stock wheel.
Went to the only car show that didn't get cancelled around our area today, and won most unique paint:
Thanks guys! Funny you should mention the power tour, my gf was just suggesting we need to do that some day. I would love to, although maybe after getting some a/c setup in there.
Work in Progress 67 GS400 Post. Got it from a buddy. Dropping in a fairly stock 430 with a Sniper EFI system, Aeromotive fuel tank, and KB headers. Has a 12 bolt with 3.73 rear gears and should be a pretty nice cruiser. Looking forward to finally getting it on the road.
