585,....the B4B is going to hold it back

Would need more compression and cam to crack 600hp with the b4b

Agreed, didn't see the B4B. Leaving at least 50 HP on the table by not going SP1.

Scott, it would be cool to test both intakes on the Dyno.:)

This is fun to watch the estimates. What intake is a b4b?

Yes....should be interesting. I think with that cam B4B won't leave much on the table. I got mine ported and equalized and it ran same as Wildcat....but I had to run adapter on Wildcat since it was for Dominator.

Edelbrock makes 2 intakes for the BBB, The Performer, and the B4B, both are dual plane intakes. The B4B places the carburetor pad more centrally to even the runner length. You can't use the B4B with the stock GS Ram Air cleaner because the scoops don't line up. The B4B has been around in various versions for quite sometime. It was part of the Stage2 engine package available from Buick over the counter.

Bruce, sometimes I think you just like to play devil's advocate.:D That intake will be the bottle neck with that cam.

Below 4500. I think the torque peak might be above that.

Up to 6000 rpm the B4B will make more power and torque IME. After that the single plane takes off....
That cam will likely be done at 5900.

I believe Alan wander gained something like 40 HP with the SP1 over the B4B in big Red.

I doubt that on his combo unless something else was changed. And where has the Wanderer been? Haven't seen him at the races....
