So I tell them how frustrating that is, and the reply, They sell the company. If you thought the chrome was sub par, might get worse now.
The most annoying part about that is that they KNEW a long time ago that they weren't going to fill your order and they just didn't bother to let you know.
Up until a few months ago, the salesman kept telling me they would get to me. Not sure when they were bought out. Coker bought them back in 2011, https://www.moderntiredealer.com/in...1531032/coker-group-purchases-wheel-vintiques Wonder who bought them now?
These companies that tell you they’re out of stock and give you expected “in stock” dates are LYING! Once they’re out of stock on Buick stuff, that’s it.
Just discovered that Sage Speed and Custom makes a Buick Rallye and does custom backspacing. I have no idea how much they cost, but maybe a lot. https://sagespeedandcustom.com/wheel-catalog/
I did. Will let you know what they say. I told them everyone wants 5” backspace. After I posted the above though I noticed they look a little different with chrome color on inner edges. They look nice though in my opinion. Attached is another photo from their booth at the Triple Crown of Rodding.
They look like a nice wheel, but they won't pass as original wheels, there looks to be enough differences.
Pretty much. I decided to stick with factory 15x7” Buick Rallye. I did learn that Crager just came out with SS in 5” and larger backspace. They call them “Special Backspace.” Aside from US Wheels who will make custom backspace Chevy style Rallye wheels I think this seems to be one of the few options out there for 5” and larger backspace. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/new-crager-ss-“special-backspace”-wheels.390909/
Do you know what the widest tire we can run on the 15x7 ? I believe I have 245/60 on the rear and may want to go as wide (not taller) as possible....
I’ve seen posts of guys putting 275/50 and 295/50 on a 15x7 but think that’s on the extreme side. https://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/how-big-to-go-on-15x7.73937/page-2 I’m planning on going 245/60R15 on 15x7 on rear of my 68.
I did receive my order so they are making the Buick wheels again. Not sure if they still have them in stock though.
