NO problem with the 275/60's on my stock rims--no rubbing at all.

It does give a little rake to the car like allioop108 said.

Here is a side pic of the car with the 275/60's on back and I run 245/60's on the front.

Here are 295/50/15 on a stock JJ 7 inch wheel. They do bulge a little, but no swaying or anything else people sometimes say will happen... They worked fine for me. No rubbing. I have 275/50/15's on the front...

i had 275/60 's on my '70 gs . but i didnt like the look of the tire being rounded and the center looked like it was wearing wierd ,like the contact patch got narrower . i like 255/60 's on my '66 . anyting bigger needs to be on a 8 + wheel

    275/ 50/ 15's up front?

Hey Frank, Do you get any rubbing up front with them tires, especially when turning? I've been thinking of getting wide tires all around and maybe lowering up front a bout an 1'' to get that Gran Touring look.

Interesting observation. My tires seemed to have worn the same way, center getting worn before the edges. I think someone said that a 7" rim might balloon a tire of this size causing mainly the center to contact the ground. Wonder if this is what's happening to both of us.

245/60 on the front with the 15x7 Buick rims is the most I could go. After that I could get slight rubbing going out end of driveways with wheels turned all the way to the right. In the rear I run 275/60 but on 15x8 rims. I believe you could run them on 15x7 but with the 8's side wall appearance is identical to the front set up.

Query What do you do if you have 275s on the back, a posi rear and a flat tire. If the flat is on the rear and the smaller front tire size is in the trunk ,you will ruin the posi if you use it. If the flat is on the front and you have a 275 in the trunk as a spare it will hurt the front fender in a turn if you use it.

Another user said somewhere on the board in one of the 275/60 threads (I think I've read them all) that he uses a 235/70/15 tire for a spare. Its within .05" of the rear so there shouldnt be any damage to the posi in short distances and it still fits on the front.
