That is good to hear, I will be checking that YouTube video out. The dealership wants a grand to fix it. Had one done about a week after I bought the car 8 years ago, and yes, there has to be a way I can do it myself. I didn't know the regulators were available on line, I thought they were only available from the dealer at an exorbitant cost.
Shocks I've done before, so I'm not worried about those. The only problem is getting parts, no one stocks part for that thing here in Canada anymore. It's going to be all on line, which is probably cheaper than ordering it through my local Napa anyway.
I still like the car, and it isn't rusted out yet, so I might as well drive it until it blows up.

I'll drive the Buick on dry weekend days all winter; because, California. When rainy and for daily use my '05 F150 stripped model is just fine.

You can't beat a 1997 & up LeSabre for a daily driver/winter beater! I started out with a 93 LeSabre in 97. Totaled that car 3 times, & fixed it. (the last time on my dime. The insurance co. said liability only after the 2nd time:mad::rolleyes:) Gave that car away to a female friend that really needed a reliable vehicle.;) I have had 5 of them since then, including the present one. Damn deer have been my biggest problem! I have hit 15 deer in my 34 yrs. of driving. Live in Illinois & work in Iowa. 80 mi drive one way to work. All but 2 deer hits have been in the last 20 yrs. I have been working in Iowa. 50,000+ miles a yr driving to work in Iowa, increases your chances of hitting a deer greatly!!! I remain loyal to my Buicks for the ride & gas mileage. As long as i can find decent LeSabres to drive, I will stay with them.:)

These guys sell the parts, but so does everyone else. Dorman and brands available for all 4 regulator assemblies.

Never had a window problem in my 97 Rivieras. Door handles on the other hand... Garbage.

2004 Subie Impreza wagon, just turned 200K. Got it at around 80K. Hate the car, it's trouble prone with typical Subie probs (timing belt, PS pump, bearings, axles, head gaskets, etc). But it has a good heater and goes through the snow like no tomorrow !!!. Got it inspected a month or so ago, now it's throwing the dreaded PO442 code light. That's like a .020 pinhole leak in the smog crap someplace, usually the filler neck, but you have to "smoke" it to find it. I fixed the dash CEL light very nicely with a piece of black electrical tape. Plan is to drive it 'til Spring then dump it.
