finally finished the interior. Far cry from the velour seats and door panels that came with the car (ugly crap).
Just picked up this 62 Invicta wagon. The engine and trans are supposed to be from a 66 Riviera. I think all I need to get it on the road are a gas tank, water pump, and brake MC. I'm excited to get it going Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good morning. My name is Clay Fees, and I am slogging along trying to write a new book tentatively titled "The Rise and Fall of the American Muscle Car". As a fan of muscle cars and historian, I have read literally thousands of books and magazines about cars, and what has always struck me is the lack of a basic, easy to read history survey of the cars of the era, a book intended for young people interested in the cars of the past, or people new to the hobby who want to better understand what these cars are. So that is what I have set out to write - an easy to read history of the American Muscle Car, and I am attempting to put those cars in their historical context, and tell the story of how that context influenced the cars of the era. It's not simply a car book, but a history of the 60s and early 70s, an intense focus on the cars. It's been more of an endeavor than I expected, and I am not entirely sure it will go anywhere, but I am near the point where I will submit it to various publishing houses for consideration. One of the things I have a need for are pictures of various cars mentioned in my book. My intent is to use pictures of cars owned by normal people, like you all and myself, who own these cars and enjoy them, rather than of museum pieces. I intend to credit the owner and the club in the book with each picture. I would like to include the Buick Gran Sport/GS cars of the Skylark like from '65-72. I have great pics generously donated of a '65, and my immediate need is a profile pic of a '67 to compare to other '67 GM A-bodies. There are some great Buicks on your site, and my hope is that some of So, if any of your club members have any desire to have your car in a book that may or may not ever be published, I'd sure appreciate the help. What I need are pics of cars that are stock, or at least stock appearing. I can be reached at clayfees@yahoo.com if you have a desire to help, and I will have a release that will have to be signed. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation ahead of time for any of you who care to help me out with this project. I truly do appreciate you all (and your cars) Clay Fees
