Would anyone have the assembly sheet for the engine bay main wiring harness…. or some photos they could share? I need to see how it’s supposed to be routed. Would love to get this beast running. P
Al- I have a diagram somewhere... However, it is fairly straight forward. From the bulkhead, behind the brake booster, along the firewall, into the wiper motor and voltage regulator, then along the passenger side of the intake manifold against the valve cover, few connections for the alternator, coil, and distributor, then down behind the coil, along the PS underside of the block by the engine mount, to the starter...
Rather then blowing apart the heat shield that bolts to the block to replace the battery cable, I used some 1/2” and 3/4” (to get over the starter connector) shrink sleeves to redo the shielding. Should last a while.
I believe my restoration thread/post shows what your looking for..should also show r some routing. http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/restoration-thread-69-gs400-convertible-4-speed.325566/
Thanks! Beautiful job on your car, and great thread! Do you happen to remember the specs on the bolts used to hold the block to the engine?
Changes coming. Cleaned up the rally wheels and resprayed the black. I definitely think it will be an improvement.
