‘72 GS tach questions

So guys, I purchased this tach some time ago. I need to know if it’s an original or repop unit for sure and what differences the ‘70-‘72 OEM tachs are. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

 

Here are some original tachs. Not the location of the three screws on the faceplate.

 

Early tach with pointed lens and tall numbers in my dad's '70 GS built in Dec '69 and a later tach with nearly flat lens and slightly shorter numbers:

 

So what year/s is this tach right for?

 

That's a repro tach in a factory clock case. The dial is tall letters for mid-late 70 and earlier

 

That’s what I was thinking since it had all the holes in the back!

 

My ‘72 doesn’t have a clock and my ‘71 dash doesn’t either, so I couldnt compare the case.

 

So do the factory tachs light up?

 

Yes

 

I assume they use the same 2 bulbs as the clock?

Early on the right
