I know its a little new for us, but does anyone know where I can find a drivers rear window regulator for an 01 lesabre? Its for the in-laws so its worth some bonus points! thanks. Josh Douglas
Josh, I "been there, done that" ... my wife's '01 LeSabre's DS rear window regulator died back in Sept (Cr@ppy GM design, they put a *tiny* metal cable end into a wimpy plastic shuttle, then put 2 tensioning springs on the cable - stoopid, stoopid, stoopid!!! :spank: ) You can get a new one from GM for $304 - they only sell the entire window motor/regulator assembly. :error: :rant: :spank: :af: :blast: ou: Or - go to ebay, and search on "lesabre window regulator", you'll find there are (iirc) 3 outfits that rebuild and reinforce the cr@ppy GM design, and they run around $140 after core charges/exchange. I got mine through Window Motor World, and would happily do business with them again. Matter of fact, I probably will, considering the cr@ppy GM design. Here's one of theirs. Can you tell I'm not happy with GM and their cr@ppy window regulator design? :Brow:
Oh, and if you need advice on how to get the motor/regulator out/in the door, let me know. I've got the Chassis Manual, which helped a bit. :TU:
