Excellent. Now, heres how GM will screw it up. They won't release it till the 2009/2010 model year, and it will be $40.000. :Dou:

Don't forget they will make it out of the cheapest materials they can find and wonder why the Mustang outsells it.

P.S. The Challenger still looks better.

With all the input from 10,000,000 car guys how could they screw it up so bad :af: The grill is all wrong and proprtions are not even close :Dou: There have been so many artists renderings that would sell like hot cakes ( if priced right and REAR wheek drive) and yet GM refuses to listen  ... I never thought i would ever say this but they deserve all that is coming to them... and I will always be a GM man but old ones for me ... not unlike my women i like them aged :Brow: the new ones have no clue hehehehe :eek2:

Besides the skinney side mirrors I think it looks pretty freakin' cool. :TU:

Only problem I see is that GM will either ruin it between concept to production, or it will never even make it that far. :Dou:

The other models with the lines above the fenders like the 69's had were a closer resemblance. The guy that had the drawing of the red and black one on here had the look just right in my opinion. Can't find the picture though. :puzzled:

It's ugly. I hope GM never tries to bring back a GS/GN until they get some designers who know what they are doing.

It's Ugly! Looks like a Chrysler (300) product.

They need to get rid of that spear thing on the top of the rocker panel. It eludes to that ugly Mustang notch, and also does not add, but detracts from the lines of the car.

The grille needs some work and the rear of the quarters need rounding more reminiscent to the original 1st gen Camaro.

It's a good start, but the design people there really must be a bunch of nimrods. No admiration for the heritage of the cars, and no vision for something new either. They must all be the children of the accountants managing the company. Maybe they can subcontract the design to the Chrysler people?

This makes me so sad. After my second car, I've never owned anything but GM. I doubt that will be true over the next several years. :Do No:

Not bad - but lets see some driveline details! 400+ HP at the rear wheels anyone?

But the biggest unresolved problem is.......

The low roofline. The biggest problem with the lastest Camaros was the roofline, so low that getting in and out was difficult and one had to keep the seat semi-reclined to not bump your head on the headliner while driving. The Mustang, then and now, is more ergonomically correct, and therefore physically easier to live with. And I'm only 6"0", people taller than me have worse issues with the '93 and up Camaros.

It has an interesting shape, but the grille is cheap and cartoonish. The side mirrors are a joke, but that design is probably peculiar to the prototype.

I'm not sure about the roffline. I am 6 ft even and my 97 WS6 formula was ok...the mustang may have been more 'correct" but the mustang is also just a car with a bigger engine and was outrun consistantly by the f-bod twins.

I didn't think it was that bad.

However, I did make $20.00 off you guys, bet my friend there would be all kinds of GM bashing before anyone had some real insight or comments about the styling...Thanks!! :TU:

cray1801 Too much is just right.

I don't know about this design, initially it brought on a frown to the face....I was really hoping for something more retro. It looks fat (with an f).

I agree. The front fenders should curve down a touch like the 1st gen too. Also, I remember when the 98 Camaro came out we all thought it looked like s**t, but once it was there in real life it looked good. And of course the LS series of engines is killer. So I'm going to wait until they produce it and I see one in real life before I go crazy with the comments. Could be a few years though. The photo angle is kinda odd too.

I don't like the (intake?) slot in front of the hood bulge though, just move it under the grille opening, little too busy for my taste. Styling is always subjective anyway.
