Hey, I was reading a thread that said you need a 1 piece driveshaft from a 74-77 grand prix when putting a 455 in a 68 skylark, because the 68 has a 2 piece. My 68 has a 1 piece driveshaft. Can anybody help me out? Also, what do you know about the driveshaft thicknesses.

Don't know about 68, but my 70 had the original driveshaft and the rear section of the driveshaft was a smaller diameter and fit into the larger section with a rubber liner. the 71 and up had 1 piece driveshafts. Mine was twisted pretty badly so I had a 3" driveshaft made for the car.

Your 68 driveshaft should be just like Larry stated.
