if i was to swap a 12 bolt in place of an 8.2 10 bolt in a 65 skylark would i need a different length driveshaft or are the pinion yokes in the same spot from the centerline of the rearend housing? u joints being the same. thanks, paul c.

SAME deal - Only concerns are the u-joint yoke and or yoke which they sell conversion u-joints for most any combinations.

68-72 12 bolt housing will be a bit wider by 1" or 1/2" on each side.

the 12 bolt came out of a 68 canadian skylark. i am swaping over the spring perches and putting on moser housing ends that will use big ford bearings and the gm drums.
