I'll guess there's enough for another tenth in ET. Tons of good reading on vacuum here. http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=531428&highlight=vacuum
So you still have 50hp on me. Ever get to Martin? I don't race in the points. I just do the T-n-Ts with my friends. Don't want to commit to spending every Saturday there.
Will be there for a couple of JR races this year. Mid West Super Series Race and the PDRA race. If I can find a class for mine, I will bring it to the PDRA Race at Martin. I will be racing the daughters JR in Pro at that race, should have plenty of time for two cars. Coming to the PDRA race? What do you mean, Not wanting to spend every Saturday at the track???? I think I am at a track by Friday night and do not leave until Sunday night every weekend from April through Oct. If we have an off week in points we go race some place else. You would be amazed, as long as your willing to drive there is always a place to race. People do other things than Race on the weekend????? I just assumed everyone was just at another track that paid more and they were keeping it from me!!! LOL
I leave Saturday for family stuff. I go to Wednesday T-n-Ts and most Fridays. I either run the Fairmont or Buick.
Thought I would update the chassis progress Were I Started Replaced Frame due to old Wreck damage, added coil overs to the front Cleaned up and trimmed the Firewall, Swapped Doors for glass Replaced factory Core Support with CM tubing. Fenders, Hood, Bumper and Spoiler, along with the Core Support, all remove individually with Dutz fasteners. Frame Painted Body Work Made front Trim out of fiberglass Bumper, Spoiler, and Divider all one piece and removable from the outside of the car, for loading in trailer Should be leaving the paint shop in the next couple weeks then back for plumbing of the fire system and brakes. Then it comes home for wiring and assembly. How to go Heads Up Racing in 5 simple steps 1) Remove Spark Plugs 2) Throw everything away, other than roof, rockers, quarters, and some of the firewall. 3) Insert new drive train, body, and frame. 4) Paint 5) Re-install Spark Plugs
Very Nice Wayne, Having "been there, done that" I am well aware of the time, effort and $$ it takes to create that. Best of luck with it.. JW
Indeed an work of art!. Lots of work to make such a car. It looks great! I hope it runs as good as it looks! Greetz Robert
VERY NICE!!! Now, besides the extra 50hp you have on me, you have about 1,000 less pounds!! I need 3/4 track! LOL!!!!
Thanks Doug, Hopefully I can hang with you now. Will be different to see your car facing down track when I cross the line. You are always facing backwards when I get to the line, since you are already at the time shack picking up your slip when I cross.
Your fine, you have not seen how much I eat. The next place to cut is me and I am not going to like that.
Ha Ha! You haven't seen me either. When I'm told to "Haul Ass!", it takes more than one trip! Can't wait to meet you and see the car as well.
Wayne nice work. I noticed you cut the front frame cross member out which is what I will do on all full race Buicks. I was going to add a cross brace in the front about where you mounted the steer rack. Is that what you did or will you add more support later to the front of the frame to keep it from twisting.
