I parted out a 69 400 4spd GS many years ago I remember it was complete and original. I kept the drive train and sold off the body. It had a 12 bolt in it which I put in my 68 GS. Did Buick ever use a 12 bolt rear and if they did how can I ID it thanks Rusty Riv.

Canadian built '69s and some other years came with 12-bolts. That doesn't mean it was necessarily made for Canadian consumption - cars were built there and shipped south

Rusty besides the 12 bolts all the stock chevy style 12 bolts I have seen have A crease in the cover it kinda looks like a eyebrow shape. I found mine in a junk 69 4 door made in Canada Bill

12 bolt chevy and 12 bolt olds.

    pictures below

The u-joint will fit as 12 bolt chevys had 4 different yokes.

    large 1330 big block yoke
    1310 strap type yoke
    1310 u-bolt type yoke
BOP u-joint Mech3R yoke inside cup clip with u-bolt straps looks just like all the BOP yokes.
