What is the largest size that can be put on a 14" rally rim. I have the wheels. They are going on my 70' skylark

You are extremely limited with a 14" rim. There are way more options with a 15" rim. The 15" Buick Rallye wheel is reproduced. If you must stay with the 14" rim, the very best choice IMO, is the P225/70R-14. That tire approximates the G70-14 that was an optional tire size for the Skylark/GS.

What Larry says. You want to keep the height at about 26.5”, and the next aspect ratio down from 70 is 60, but to get a 60 that tall you’d need about a 265, which no one makes (and wouldn’t fit the rim width if they did). (225x.70=157.5. 157.5/.60 = 262.5).
If you want a meaty tire, go to 15s and run 245/60s.

I have a really old set of Kelly Chargers on some 14" rims- they are 245/60 14. BFG still makes that size. I would not put them on the front.

Well I have the 14" wheels so they are going on my Skylark. They look good. I have 15" on my 70 GS 455 convertible. They are not the best. But they are round lol

BTW who makes the new 15" rims. I'm only finding 14"
