You don't need headers to get into the 14's:grin:

With your 101mph convertible, you're going to put a hurtin' on me this year. need some aluminum heads.

    thanks for the reply
can i acheive 14's without changing anything in the rear or the exh manifolds
i mean ,can i change the convertor , cam and mufflers with 2.5" to go in the 14?
and in the same time it is an everyday driving car
    thanks to all

If you change cam and convertor, you will have no traction. Finding a posi rear will help give you the traction you need. Any other way, you'll be spinning your right tire halfway down the track.

    Here is what I run:

71 455 stock bottom end, not rebuilt
70 Stage1 heads with a nice port job
    Edelbrock Performer intake
    TA 288-94H cam
    Crane XR-i electronic ignition conversion
    Performance Quadrajet
    2500 stall convertor
    Trans-go shift kit
3.23 posi rear with MT ET Street drag radials (for the track only)
    Stock exhaust manifolds, no porting
2.5 dual exhaust with Dynomax long case super turbo mufflers

The car has run a best of 13.89

It is at around 9 to 1, only because the heads have been milled a bit. If they weren't milled, I would still be at 8.5 to 1.
