Anyone know whether the 15 x 8 Rally wheels will fit on the fronts of the 71 GS with disk brakes? My stocker wheels are 7 inches wide and I was thinking about widening them to 8. I know they fit on the rear.

Did you have the original wheels widened or did you purchase repops? I had 2 of my originals widened 1 inch and rechromed and went to try them on the fronts before I had the other 2 done and they rubbed on the roters just slightly. It could have been the type of rim extension they used.

Got any additional photos of your ride? Tried a PM with no luck.

I have 15x8's all around on mine.
I have them wrapped in 255/60-15's all around
I do get slight rubbing on one front tire.
Front of the tire rubs the fender
I think a better panel alignment would solve this, that may happen this winter.

You guys that responded. I have 235 / 70s 15 tires on now. The tires didnt rub, but the 15 X 8 wheels slightly rubbed against my front disks. The rears cleared everything fine. I had these wheels widened at a shop so I was wondering if the 15 X 8s that you put on the front, whether they were new reporduction wheels or if you had your stock wheels widened like I did. If they were reproduction wheels, where did you get them? I was going to purchase two 8 inchers from "Then and Now" which sell the correct "brushed" centers.
