2/8/10 EDIT: SALE PENDING WAITING ON PAYMENT This is a 15" 3 spoke sport steering wheel that I covered with a black leather steering wheel cover kit. The underlying plastic rim was a brown color but had hardened up somewhat and the grain was worn down so I decided to cover it. The underlying plastic rim WAS NOT CRACKED OR COMING APART, ETC...still very much intact and solid. >Includes the original sport wheel mounting hub which I beadblasted clean and painted with black epoxy. You can leave it "as is" if you need a black hub or just scuff it with a Scotchbrite pad and paint over it if you need another color. >Horn button mounting ring is also included. >Brushed stainless spokes are in very nice condition. >Rim and spokes are straight/flat....nothing bent or warped This would be great on a driver or any non-concours car. The rim is nice and thick with the cover on it so it has a great feel to it. I sewed the cover on using the sewing pattern that gives the thread the most "hidden" look to it...naturally, this was also the most time consuming option also. PRICE REDUCED FROM $150---Now $125 + shipping. No paypal. Check or MO is fine. SEE POSTINGS BELOW FROM MIKE, DUANE AND MYSELF ON FITMENT FOR EARLIER CARS AND SELLING THE HUB AND WHEEL SEPARATELY. Thanks
Mike--The wheel/hub is from a '70-72 so it wouldn't be "correct" in terms of fit, etc. I don't know if any of it would actually bolt up to those earlier columns. Thanks.
Patton, They make a smaller diameter hub for the 64-67 cars. I believe they were originally used on the 67 vettes. If you use one of those hubs I believe all the other 68-up parts will mount to it. Hope that helps. Duane
Thanks very much Duane! I would probably sell the wheel separately also as someone else, with a later car, would likely buy the hub. Mike--if you want me to I can take some measurements of the wheel...the distance across the mounting area where the mounting screws go in, the outer diameter of that area, etc. and can take more pics, etc. Thanks
Patton: I don't have the column here where I can measure it. Don't want to hold up your sale. If I get a chance to measure then I will contact you and see if you still have it. Thanks Mile PS About to install your gas tank pad.
