I am in the market for lug nuts for my 66 skylark ...drums all around....new 15" Summit wheels. What sizes would I need and I have read about some lug nuts being too short, so how can avoid that? Open end, closed end, conical seat...confusing stuff it seems. Thanks for any help you can spare!

Before we can help we will need to know what type of wheels you have. If possible, post a Summit link to them.

Why don't you just call Summit and ask them? I'm sure they would even have the nuts that you need in stock.

Yup, probably better call Summit. Mine are Weld Prostars and use the long shank lug nuts. Those have a recessed lug nut so it's impossible to tell what you need from the picture. The first thing I would do is hold them up to your drums and see how much stud you have coming through the wheel. If you're going to be racing you'll need longer studs and open end lug nuts. For the street you can use whatever you want but I would still buy lug nuts that grab as much of the wheels studs as possible. If they use the long shank nuts, you can buy them with various length shanks.
