Lost out on a set of 15 x 7 factory Buick rims on Ebay as the deadbeat bidder came through. I was looking at a set (4) of Vision Legend 5 rims in gunmetal finish with black trim. The bolt pattern is 5 x 4.75, back space is 4.25 and the offset is 6". Will these fit my 71 Skylark with front disc brakes. The Ebay listing says they will but I can't find similar info doing a "Goggle" search for info. I think they are model 141 but the seller has yet to respond. Set is going for $429 shipping included.

I am a little confused by the numbers you posted. On a 15x7" wheel with 4.25" of rearspacing, the offset will be about 0.5" depending on the dimension between the bead seat and the flange. Offset refers to the dimension from the mounting surface to the centerline of the rim.

If the rearspacing dimension (4.25") is correct, the wheels will fit your car. If the offset dimension (6") is correct, they will not fit. Is it possible that the offset is 6 milimeters? 6" of offset is extreme, if not impossible on a 7" rim. See diagram HERE

    Eagleguy,

I just want to make sure you are aware of a few sources of 15X7 Buick Ralley Wheels with the 4 3/4 bolt pattern. I have never serious had a problem locating some of these -maybe not 4 at a time, but one or two here or there eventually make a set.

There are many different threads which explain these details and which donor cars to look for, but unless you are looking for specific date-coded or WG rims, then there are many later-model '70's, '80's Buicks (LeSabres, Electras and Estate Wagons) for these rims. I beleive the engine size really determined which axles and front hubs GM used (5X5 vs. 5X4 3/4 in bolt patterns).

Almost every time I go to the U-Pull-It yards (about once a quarter), I see these rims for $25 or $30/each. The later model ones are generally pretty nice condition, too.

Thanks for the info and advice guys. The information I posted regarding the Vision rims was taken off an ebay listing so I can't say if the numbers were correct. I think I'll do some searching as Ken had suggested as I would really like to stick with 15" Buick rims if I'm gonna replace my 14" BFG and Cragars.

If you need a set of 15" rims I can sell you a set as I have a lot of them in my storage (driver condition only) $45 each + shipping
